your close but its not really a power chord
its very similar though
its somewhat of an inverted power chord
also if you have bigger hands it doesnt hurt to bar the 12th fret, does it

Yeah it seems to help, a nice warmup before playing guitar I noticed I was a bit cleaner: )
I can see having played a bit of bass in the past, my fretting hand is great but I basically have to start the walking the bass thing as a beginner ^^

You’ll find it …
You’ll find it quite easy to go from bass to guitar, but may need a little help in strengthening those tendons that aren’t used to such pressure. Have a look at my hand and tendon excercices video. Those will help you!
