Dave Marks Walking Bass Lesson 08

This week we’re going to continue looking at our chord progression based on the Jazz Standard ‘Autumn Leaves’ We will play with a ‘2 in the bar’ feel using the root note and the 3rd or 5th for each chord.

    This lesson seems a little more rudimentary then the arpeggio work preceding it. You might want to start with the 3rds and 5ths and then introduce the 7ths later. Just a thought. Thanks this has been a nice refresher for me on walking patterns.
