You could try advertising in the Wanted section of Craigslist, but most personal tuition is likely to cost a bundle.

An alternative is online lessons. The advantage is, you can get a head start with the basics and beyond, so when you actually go for one-on-one lessons, you can take only the lessons you need, therevy saving money.

I'm not sure where "brum" is?

Out of the beginning steel band books out there, I haven't found any that are all that great, so I decided to write my own.

If you want to buy a steel drum the cost is:

Lead (Tenor): $1200-3000
Double Seconds: $1800-3500
Guitar: $2200-4000
Triple Cello: $2500-4000
