What I’ve learned …
What I’ve learned is that it’s helpful to come at music from as many angles as possible – learn music theory, learn to play by ear using ‘Rhythmic Patterns’, spend time on ear training, play w/groups… etc. One thing that will really help you develop your ear is a program that I posted named “Ear Training 101″. (type “Ear Training” into youtube to find it). Best wishes – David Sprunger

here’s the deal I learned to play by ear, and I produce music–but i can’t play like you do, i’ve tried to make the connection between hearing the notes and finding them on the keyboard but to hear them and call them out is a different story–how can i do this? Also with chords and keys isn’t there a number system? Please get back to me

Your playing and …
Your playing and singing sound great! I’m really a novice on the piano, but I’m so motivated to become better just by listening to you and others like you who share a love for music that’s really beyond words. I’m considering getting your program, but I must admit that I’m reluctant to jump right in and purchase it. What would you suggest for someone in my position? Thanx, Jazz

I get the open voicing- spreading out a chord with left and right hands, but not the ’soft’ note business that don’t belong. I’m going to review all your lessons! This is good stuff.
