Monday, January 19th, 2009
Okay, now that you’ve watched me play a few examples of two-handed piano playing, it’s time for you to join me on the keyboard and play your first piano ignment with both hands! And I really hope you’ve been practicing your numbered fingering exercises during our fist six lessons, because now all that hard work is going to come in handy. We’ll begin slowly practicing two separate piano pieces with each hand and then use a computerized metronome to guide us along by paying special attention the THE BEAT! Only 10 ten minutes of this very informative video are shown here, but you can catch the entire length video lesson (for free as always) simply by going to: http://www.get-piano-lessons.com/lesson-piano.html

Welcome to Get Piano Lesson 7 where we really start to have fun on the piano! Now that we’ve practiced finger patterns with our right and left hands, its time to answer a very important question… what is the secret to playing the piano with both hands at the same time? Well this video spends the bulk of 15 minutes with 3 different piano pieces to explain just how to start doing that! Only 10 ten minutes of the full video are shown here, but you can catch the entire length video lesson (for free as always) simply by going to: http://www.get-piano-lessons.com/lesson-piano.html
In this lesson I try to explain the art of playing with two hands simultaneously. I also give some basic drills that promote better hand independence.
