WRONG!!!!
What ...
WRONG!!!!
What do your knees have to do with singing what you are doing is compensative motion. instead think of coming down to high notes instead of jumping up to them, this will cause your muscles to stretch ahead of time....tomorrow I wil be posting a video to demo this and give a few other techs.

check out Brett's ...
check out Brett's Whistle Voice FAQ video and he actually shows HOW to keep the larynx down AND sing high. It's an integral part of a balanced voice when singing high, middle, and low. check it out. Totaly agree with what you said though. Except the screeching part. There's so much more to our videos than just that one 6 octave stretch (just an exercise).

That's because you ...
That's because you screech in your videos to brag about how high you can get. The purpose of this isn't to get higher, it's to improve resonance by keeping your larynx down. In fact, if you keep your larynx down, you won't be able to sing as high, but the high notes you do reach will sound better since you're giving the sound more space to resonate through your throat.

She's trying to ...
She's trying to tell us, in a roundabout way, to keep our larynx's low when singing high (or low) to give the sound the most space to resonate. It does improve your sound immensely.
